Details
The 6 foot steel pipe frame come in two diameters, 1-5/8" or 2-3/8", from which you can choose. Both sizes are welded into a single piece structure for strength and easy assembly. Both are accessible to wheelchairs at both ends. The full length seats offer full capacity seating, a big advantage over extended top or side access tables, and the unique frame design includes two wheelchair spaces, plus, provides proper support under the outside ends of the full length seats.
The Hot-Dip Galvanized Finish:
The Frame's hot-dip galvanized finish is applied after fabrication and welding. It meets ASTM A123 specifications, to maintain an average zinc coating of 2.0 oz. per sq. ft. of surface area.
Vinyl Coated Expanded, or Perforated, Steel Products:
These Vinyl Coated Steel products are covered after fabrication and welding with a coating of vinyl Plastisol formulated with high impact additives and UV inhibitors. Vinyl coating is permanently heat-fused to the steel to an average thickness of 125 mils (1/8") for an overall average thickness, including top and bottom coatings, of 250 mils (1/4"). Expanded steel, and perforated steel, components are assembled and reinforced with formed steel edge bands, angle irons and bars as appropriate to each product design. All components are single piece welded construction.
The "Type D" Expanded Steel, is 3/4-#9 material with a short longitudinal stretch. A shorter stretch means smaller “diamond” openings, which leaves more material (steel) per foot. The more diamonds there are per lineal foot is your indication that there is more steel left in the structure. Therefore, the top and seats will be stronger. It is also called the “long way design, non flattened expanded metal”. “Non-flattened” means the steel is “on edge” around the diamonds. This provides a stronger, more rigid material. This standard duty rectangular table top/seat design is built for your most common public applications.
The "R-Type" Perforated Steel is 14-gauge with 9/16” diameter holes punched on 13/16” straight line centers.
