This classic bench design is fabricated completely from our recycled plastic lumber boards. The Boardwalk Bench is our lowest cost bench model. Choose a color for the back/seats and another color for the bench frame. These benches ship assembled and stainless steel hardware is included.

Boardwalk Recycled Plastic Six Foot Picnic Table is made of 100% recycled plastic and is a high quality material that is both environmentally friendly and economically viable. As an alternative to traditional hardwood lumber, which is often injected with chemicals to ward off impending insect attacks. Greenwood plastic lumber contains no hazardous chemicals and can not leak or contaminate the soil. Additionally, serious worries about deforestation and the role trees play in helping preventing global warming are issues of concern for both the consumer and the building industry. Therefore using plastic lumber rather than hardwood has remarkable practical, as well as significant environmental advantages.
About Plastic Lumber:
Plastic lumber is recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and sometimes other additives, such as fiberglass, are extruded into common lumber profiles. Apart from availability in most of the familiar wood cross sections (2 x 4, 4 x 4, etc), hollow sections or specialty shapes like speed bumps or bench legs can also be achieved.
Weather Resistance:
Plastic lumber is resistant to all insects, termites, boring worms, micro activity, mold, mildew, saltwater and wet rot found in outdoor environments and will not splinter or rot. Unlike wood, plastic lumber does not absorb moisture or promote bacterial growth. Best of all this protection is accomplished without any hazardous chemicals as those used in the pressure treatment of wood.
Maintenance:
Plastic lumber cleans easily with a solution of bleach and water. Other commercial cleaners such as Simple Green and Soft Scrub also work well. Unlike composite decking boards, it can also be pressure-washed.
Paintability:
There’s no need to paint it, because the color goes all the way through the plastic lumber, no painting is ever needed. Beyond that, its waxy, non-porous surface makes for a difficult surface for paint to stick to.
Flexibility:
Plastic lumber is a wood substitute that is 5 to 6 time more flexible than wood.
12 Month Warranty:
Applicable product warranties and limitations are provided on labels or operator and parts manuals, depending on the product type.
