For over 14 years, Eagle One has designed and manufactured its entire casual furniture product line from the environmentally friendly 100% recycled High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). The company’s Greenwood Recycled Plastic Lumber outperforms most other materials in areas subject to harsh weather conditions. The high-density plastic, recycled from milk bottles, does not suffer from the problems associated with wood, metal and other materials. It is impervious to most chemicals, does not rot, rust, corrode or ever need painting. The color is consistent throughout the lumber, making it resistant to color fading.

Designing with plastic lumber, instead of wood, needs to be treated in a similar way to the difference in designing between steel and aluminum. Some boards can have fiberglass strands mixed in to add strength or stiffness while another may be hollow to reduce weight. Unless you have design experience using plastic lumber, designing should be left to an experienced user.
